September 11, 2004   "A letter to the Citizens of Greene County" Dear Greene County Citizen, This November 2nd is a very important date for all of us. Election Day 2004, will impact each of us, locally & nationally for a long while to come. I wish to introduce myself as the Candidate for Greene County Commissioner, District 1. I believe that the citizens of Greene County deserve professional, thoughtful and active representation. I am writing to request your support on November 2. There are two primary reasons that I decided to enter the race for Commissioner. The first being our present situation with the Greene County Courthouse. No matter what the status on January 1, 2005, the county will have to make hard and fast decisions in order to see the completion or resolution of this project. I intend to be an active and decisive part of the resolution. The second reason that I decided to enter this race is the Wheel Tax enacted upon the citizens, effective in 2004. I am a supporter of the Wheel Tax, however, the citizens of this county deserve to see real results for their dollars. I will work hard to make Greene County a viable entity that all citizens can be proud of. Greene County dollars must stay in Greene County and we must work hard to make this community sustainable.   The priorities of Greene County government must be: q       Economic Development q       Increasing efficiency q       Support of vital community services I intend to play an active role in providing this county a reason to be proud and satisfied with the expenditures of your hard-earned dollars.
